Sons of Eden was awarded the Trophy for Best Exhibitor at the recent 2017 Winewise Small Vigneron Awards, a respected show that attracts medal winners from various region wine shows.
The Remus old vine Eden Valley Shiraz 2015 was awarded the Trophy for Best Shiraz. In addition, its older brother Remus old vine Eden Valley Shiraz 2014 was awarded a Gold medal.
To cap off a trifecta of vintages from 2014 to 2016 the Marschall Barossa Valley Shiraz 2016 was awarded Top Gold in the 2016 Shiraz class. This gave Sons of Eden a 100% gold medal strike rate in the Shiraz category.
Success had previously come to Sons of Eden with the Best Exhibitor Trophy at the 2011 Winewise Small Vigneron Awards. In such a strong national competition it is pleasing to see wines from both the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley consistently being recognised as benchmark styles.
Chairman of Judges Lester Jesberg said. “We applaud Sons of Eden for their dominant showing. All three of their gold medal wines reflected not only their origins, but highly skilled, creative winemaking.”
