Artisans of Barossa awarded ‘Star Cellar Door’ in 2022 Gourmet Traveller Wine Cellar Door Awards

Opening a new-build, large-scale tasting room, restaurant and café in the middle of a pandemic was a gamble. Years in the making with eight wineries collectively working together to make the project happen, the artisans of Barossa tasting room opened in September 2021.

Only six months after opening, it has already taken out the awarded for Star Cellar Door at the 11th Gourmet Traveller WINE awards for Australia’s Best Cellar Door.

Nestled among the vineyards on the outskirts of Tanunda, Artisans of Barossa offers a place to discover new and interesting wines from a range of producers all under the same roof. We are proud to be one of the founding members of this unique collaboration and proud to partner with fellow Artisans of Barossa wineries; John Duval Wines, Spinifex Wines, Lienert Vineyards, Schwarz Wine Co., Purple Hands Wines, Hobbs of Barossa Ranges and Chaffey Bros. Wine Co.

We would like to thank Gourmet Traveller WINE for this award and also congratulate our fellow Barossa Valley award winners; Seppeltsfield, Alkina Wine Estate, Hentley Farm and Torbreck.
