This is perfumed and inviting on the nose showing red plum, warm spice, vanilla and cedar notes, followed by a succulent palate that’s silky and lingering. Beautifully framed by chalky tannins, finishing structured and lingering. At its best: now to 2032.
Captures richness and concentration convincingly, with bold dark-fruit aromas of cherry and plum with some savory, earthy elements, too. The palate has sturdy, rich and dense tannins that are swathed in ripe-berry flavors.

Hand-picked, destemmed with 10% whole bunch clusters, cold soaked for 5 days, naturally fermented for 20 days. Pressed to 500 litre French Puncheon barrels for 12 months unhindered maturation. Bottled without finings and filtration.
Montepulciano a native grape variety to the Adriatic Coast of Italy, and now grown in Eden Valley. ‘Monte’ is Italian for Mountain, and the high country of Eden Valley is ideally suited to growing this variety.
