Cirrus Single Vineyard Riesling 6 Pack

Cirrus ‘Single Vineyard’ Riesling 2019 x 5

Cirrus ‘Single Vineyard’ Riesling 2016 x 1

Unlike many other varieties, Riesling quality is very receptive to the region in which it is grown. Eden Valley brings out the best in this variety thanks to its climate, geology and topography. Typical cool nights and warm days together with dry conditions throughout the critical ripening period ensures the fruit is harvested with near perfect natural ripeness.

Together with the pristine citrus aromas the hallmark natural acidity enables the wines to age gracefully. This pack includes a selected  ‘cellar release’ vintage of the award winning Cirrus 2016 that has been carefully matured for your enjoyment.

2016 vintage – 98pts & Top 3 Riesling of 2017

James Halliday

It rides on a magic carpet of lime, lemon sherbet and thrilling acidity. Only Riesling can produce such intensity with such delicacy, with a fresh, airy spring day mouthfeel. It’s worth every penny, and is a privilege to taste.

2019 vintage – 95pts & #4 of 50 Eden Valley Rieslings

The Real Review

Pale lemon colour throughout the glass. Lemon balm, talcum and seashell aromatics. Lime cordial and sherbet. Chalky in texture, a good lick of crunchy phenolics balances the sweetness of primary fruit whilst acid is the powerhouse that drives it along. Classic Eden. Stuart Knox

2019 vintage – 95pts

A very expressive bouquet with a mix of pear / apple / grapefruit. The fruit flavour intensity is mouthfilling, half suggesting there’s some residual sugar but there isn’t (1.1g/l residual sugar can’t be detected).

The High Eden sub-region of Eden Valley is a small and unique region designated by its high altitude, however, it is also defined by the schist soils and rocky outcrops, vast exposure and undulating hillside aspects, enhancing its suitability for growing Riesling. The skies over High Eden are typified by ‘Cirrus’ cloud formations for most of the growing and harvest seasons, making for a picturesque backdrop to the vineyards and a perfect name for this wine. The Cirrus Riesling is made from the very best Single Vineyard wine of High Eden and made in only exemplary years.
