This 6-pack represents varieties Eden Valley produces to a world standard, all of which have been mindfully grown and crafted by Sons of Eden.

Remus old vine Shiraz 2020

Hand harvested, destemmed and crushed into small 1.5 tonne open-top fermenters. Selected fermenters had up to 15% whole-bunch clusters added to the destemmed berries. A pre-fermentation cold soak ensured a slow initiation to fermentation, where temperatures were allowed to peak at 27oC before being cooled to 20oC for the remainder of the fermentation. Hand plunged daily allowed for a gentle extraction and helped to prolong the fermentation. After an extended period on skins the ferments were pressed to 60% new French oak hogsheads. Matured and not racked throughout the 18-month oak-maturation period provided for palate weight and texture. Prior to bottling, the wine was naturally clarified and bottled without filtration.

Eurus Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

The fruit was handpicked and 100% de-stemmed into small open top fermenters, for approximately 20 days. Naturally fermented and hand plunged daily then pressed to a mix of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads for maturation. Matured in barrel for 15 months with no racking, before being clarified and bottled without filtration.

Freya Riesling 2023

Post-harvest each Riesling block was kept separate and chilled to 6C, prior to being whole-bunch pressed with only the finest free-run juice retained. The juice was cold settled for 7 days before being racked clear to begin fermentation. Fermented cool between 12-14C for 3 weeks and then left for 3 months on yeast lees to build palate texture. The individual parcels were then blended and naturally stabilised before being bottled in late June 2023.

Cirrus single vineyard Riesling 2020

Hand harvested, the fruit was chilled to 6C and then 100% whole bunch pressed. Only the finest free run was taken, up to 450 litres / tonne. Naturally cold-settled for several weeks with only the clearest juice selected for fermentation. Fermented at a cool temperature between 12-13C until completely sugar dry. Left for 5 months on yeast lees before being prepared for bottling.

Pumpa Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Each Cabernet block was individually hand-harvested, destemmed and fermented in small 1 and 2 tonne open-fermenters. A combination of hand plunging and pumping-over cap management techniques were employed throughout the fermentation period. A short post ferment skin-maceration occurred for 5 days before being pressed off and matured in a mix of new and seasoned oak hogsheads. Matured for 12 months prior to being blended, naturally clarified and bottled without finings or filtration.

Studium Montepulciano 2018

Hand-picked, destemmed with 10% whole bunch clusters, cold soaked for 5 days, naturally fermented for 20 days. Pressed to 500 litre French Puncheon barrels for 12 months unhindered maturation. Bottled without finings and filtration.

 

This 6-pack represents a cross-section of Eden Valley wines produced from fruit sourced from 8 geographically distinct vineyard sites. From the marginal, high-altitude, cold High Eden sub-region, through to the warmer, lower rainfall, north-eastern section the region displays a great diversity of sites. Distinct fruit characters are carefully managed through the winemaking process and captured in the final bottle for your enjoyment.
