Sons of Eden has deep respect for our fore-bearers who planted these amazing vineyards with three special wines named in tribute to generational growers that passed over their treasures to us to become the current custodians.

Marschall 2021:
A wide range of fermentation techniques were utilised, but all involved extended skin contact ranging from 15 to 20 days. A cold soak period of up to 5 days occurred before a natural warming to start the fermentation. Upon completion the ferments were pressed to a mix of new and seasoned oak hogsheads, for malolactic fermentation and maturation. Matured in barrel with minimal intervention for 14 months, then naturally clarified, and bottled without filtration.

The Marschall Family vineyards are located in the Tanunda and Ebenezer districts of the Barossa Valley. The Tanunda vineyard is grown on sandy soils which typically produce aromatic styled Shiraz, while the rich iron clad soils of Ebenezer produce a more dense fruit core and structured styled wine.

Kennedy 2020:
The Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre varieties were all hand harvested and fermented separately. To aid colour, tannin and flavour extraction the three parcels were cold soaked for a short period prior to fermentation. Post ferment the Grenache and Mourvedre vessels were left on skins for an additional 11 days before being pressed straight to large oak puncheons for maturation. These parcels were matured in oak for 12 months with minimal intervention, before being blended, naturally clarified and then bottled.

Pumpa 2021:
The Cabernet blocks were individually hand-harvested, destemmed and fermented in small 1 and 2 tonne open-fermenters. A combination of hand plunging and pumping-over cap management techniques were employed throughout the fermentation period. A short post ferment skin-maceration occurred for 6 days before being pressed off and matured in a mix of new and seasoned oak hogsheads. Matured for 12 months prior to being blended, naturally clarified and bottled without finings or filtration.
